Energy Recovery scoops $6.2 million of business in Saudi Arabia

Energy Recovery has won $6.2 million of business to supply desalination projects in Saudi Arabia.

The deal covers supply of PX-Q300 Pressure Exchangers for multiple facilities, spanning capacity of 305,000 m3/d. Energy Recovery estimates that the devices will save 291 gigawatts of energy a year, and help the plants to avoid 174,000 tons of carbon emissions annually.

“The Middle East remains a key market for Energy Recovery, and an indication of continuing strength in the global desalination market throughout 2018. Saudi Arabia has prioritised the reallocation of economic resources, with potable water and desalination of particular focus. Energy Recovery is a direct beneficiary of said shift in focus,” said Energy Recovery president Joel Gay.
