Evoqua wins Los Angeles expansion contract

Evoqua Water Technologies has won a contract with the Department of Public Works for Los Angeles Sanitation to supply its microfiltration packaged system as part of the expansion of the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant Advanced Water Treatment Facility in San Pedro, Los Angeles County.

The Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant Advanced Water Treatment Facility treats tertiary effluent for indirect potable reuse applications. The expansion project is expected to add about 50Ml/d of filtrate capacity – as pretreatment to the plant’s reverse osmosis and advanced oxidation stages.

Evoqua will supply its Memcor CP System utilizing hollow fibre microfiltration and ultrafiltration membrane technology.

Terminal Island is the third Los Angeles water reclamation plant to produce reclaimed water for indirect potable reuse.
