Salalah RO desalination plant ahead of schedule
Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries, which recently announced completion of the first phase of the Salalah Independent Water & Power Plant (IWPP) in Oman, has told D&WR that the reverse-osmosis desalination plant is under construction and will be completed ahead of schedule in April 2012.

Modern Water claims first FO commercial desalination contract
UK-based Modern Water has won what is believed to be the first ever forward-osmosis (FO) commercial contract for desalination, following its award of a UK£ 500,000 (US$ 810,000) contract for a 200 m³/d plant by Oman’s Public Authority for Electricity & Water (PAEW).

ONEIC to manufacture its own RO desalination plants
