Doosan Hydro becomes SafBon Water Technology following acquisition

Doosan Hydro Technology has changed its named to SafBon Water Technology following its acquisition by SafBon Water Service of Shanghai, in May 2017.

The Tampa, Florida-based reverse osmosis specialist was sold by its former parent, Doosan Heavy Industries of Korea, for $7.4 million.

“We are pleased to announce that our personnel will remain unchanged, and we will conduct business as usual with our continued commitment to the water industry, our clients and partners,” said chief executive Chris Claessen.

Following the deal, the US based business will add new product lines to its roster: ceramic ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, dissolved air flotation (DAF) and demineralisers; condensate polishers; and industry-specific offerings in advanced water treatment.
