WEF seeking new executive director

The Water Environment Federation (WEF®) in the USA is seeking a new executive director. The announcement was made by recruitment consultants Korn/Ferry on 5 August 2010.

The WEF is a nonprofit technical and educational organization with 36,000 individual members and 75 affiliated member associations representing water quality professionals around the world. Its mission is preserving and enhancing the global water environment.

The executive director is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of 100 employees and a budget of US$ 23 million. In collaboration with the Board of Trustees, he or she develops the strategic plan and related action plans, and implements that plan jointly in support of WEF’s vision.

One of the new executive director’s tasks will be: “to come up with the next great breakthrough thing to do.
