The programme has been announced for a UK nanotechnology for water event to be held at University College London (UCL) on 15 February 2011, which will provide an official launch for the EcoNano Focus Group.
Organised by the Nano Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), in partnership with the Environmental Sustainability KTN and UCL, this Nanotechnology for Water EcoNano workshop aims to raise the awareness of the possibilities offered by nanotechnologies and understanding the issues faced by water utilities and end-user industries. It will bring together the water industry, user industries, environmental industries and the research community.
Sarah Mukherjee, director of environment at Water UK, and Steve Kaye, innovations manager at Anglian Water, will open the conference. Technology presentations will be delivered by British Water’s Innovation Forum, Promethean Particles, proaqua, the International Water Association and the Universities of Aberdeen, Brighton, Bristol and Cranfield.
The event will also feature an exhibition and academic and commercial posters.
