Texas city council votes on wastewater reuse study award

Reclaimed wastewater could provide 6-7 MGD (22,700‑26,500 m³/d) of additional water supply for the city of San Angelo, Texas, USA, according to a submission to be considered by the city council on 6 May 2014.

Ricky Dickson, water utilities director, is asking the council to approve the award of a US$ 190,000 study to Alan Plummer Associates Inc (APAI) of Fort Worth to evaluate reclaimed water alternatives including non-potable and potable reuse.

Completion of the study will provide the city with a list of potential projects and their costs.
