The Southeast Desalting Association (SEDA) is offering Module I of the Membrane Operators Certification (MOC) Short School in April 2013 in Palm Coast, Florida.
The MOC was launched this year by the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) and its affiliates, which include SEDA.
The short school will be held at the City of Palm Coast Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on 9‑11 April 2013.
SEDA is also scheduled to hold three workshops between now and its Spring Symposium in June.
On 21 March 2013, a workshop on Pilot Plant Operation will be held at City of Palm Coast WTP. Classroom and hands‑on pilot‑plant training will be provided by Brian Matthews, City of Palm Coast, and Dr Lucida Xu, CPH Engineers Inc.
On 16 April 2013, a Membrane Theory & Operations workshop will staged at Collier County South Regional WTP. The workshop will focus on membrane technology and the membrane elements that are used for WTP facilities. It would be useful to operators new to membrane operations as well as a refresher course for experienced operators.
SEDA is also taking part in a joint technology transfer workshop with AMTA in Chesapeake, Virginia on 20‑22 May 2013.
