Pennsylvania-base QUA®, a developer of electrodeionization (EDI) and ultrafiltration (UF) products, has received ISO 9001:2008 Certification, attesting that its manufacturing facility conforms to this internationally recognized quality management system standard for the manufacture, supply and after-sales service of its membrane products.
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards. A non-governmental organization, ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 163 countries with a central secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system.
“ISO registration is very important to QUA, as our customers represent many of the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers. This certification clearly demonstrates our commitment to quality and recognizes the rigorous standards to which we adhere in all aspects of our operations,” said V J Nathan, technical director, QUA Group LLC.
QUA’s products include CE-certified FEDI® fractional EDI technology, and Q‑SEP® hollow-fiber UF modules. The company manages the entire lifecycle and manufacturing chain of these products from initial concept to manufacturing in an in-house state-of-the-art membrane manufacturing facility with continuous monitoring to maintain consistent quality.
Earlier this year, QUA was awarded NSF/ANSI 61 Certification by NSF International for the manufacture of its Q-SEP UF range.
