Pakistan breaks ground on desal plant for Balochistan
06 Mar 18 by desalination

Pakistan has broken ground on a desalination plant in Balochistan province, in a project backed by the governments of the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland.
The plant is expected to complete by end of October 2018, with capacity of 16.6 m3/d, and potential to expand to 34,000 m3/d.
Balochistan is one of four provinces of Pakistan, in the southwest, and has an extremely dry desert climate. The plant will provide water for people living in the region.
