Brazilian membrane water treatment specialist Fluid Brasil has been taken over by Mann+Hummel, the German company announced on 9 January 2012.
Mann+Hummel Brasil Tecnologia Em Agua Participacoes Ltda, based in Indaiatuba, Sao Paulo state, took over 100% of Fluid Brasil Sistemas e Tecnologia Ltda, headquartered in Jundiaí near the city of São Paulo.
Fluid Brasil specialised in reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration solutions for treatment of water and wastewater. In 2011, 80 company employees generated a turnover of around € 25 million.
“Fluid Brasil enables us to expand our system expertise and gives us access to the local water market. The company complements our portfolio very well”, explained Alfred Weber, CEO Mann+Hummel.
The new subsidiary serves notable industrial national and international customers in Brazil and has approximately 600 reference projects.
