International projects to feature in NCEDA workshop

Reports from major international projects will form the basis of a Desalination Workshop to be held in Melbourne, Australia, in November 2013 by the National Centre of Excellence in Desalination Australia (NCEDA).

An impressive panel of desalination academic and industry speakers from around the globe will showcase notable international desalination success stories, such as the SeaHero Project in South Korea, Megaton Project in Japan and Masdar Solar Thermal Initiative in Abu Dhabi.

Presentations will also be made by the US Bureau of Reclamation and King Abdulla University of Science & Technology in Saudi Arabia. Talented Australian researchers will provide a broad overview of desalination research being undertaken in Australia.

NCEDA says that this two-day event represents a great opportunity to network with global and national desalination experts, understand how desalination has changed the face of water supply in many parts of the world and learn about new advances in desalination technologies. It will be held on 28‑29 November 2013 at the University of Melbourne Law School in Carlton.

More details will be available soon from the NCEDA website.
