Hitachi Aqua-Tech Engineering and Hitachi Capital Asia have won a water supply contract from Male Water & Sewerage Company in the Maldives.
The contract worth $8.8 million covers a new seawater reverse osmosis plant and water distribution network to support the second phase of development of artificial island Hulhumale.
Project completion is set for June 2020. Hitachi Capital Asia will provide the project financing.
