Quebec-based H2O Innovation has secured seven contracts in Canada and the US worth a combined $6.9 million during the three months to September 30, 2016.
They include a potable water system and wastewater treatment system, each of 216 m3/d, to supply workers at mines in Nunavut, northern Canada. The wastewater system will use a containerised membrane bioreactor process, combining advanced biological processes and submerged membranes.
The second big contract in Canada is for an ultrafiltration system producing 3,000 m3/d of potable water to feed a steam generator and act as pre-treatment to a nano-filtration plant, for an oil company in Alberta. The system will be delivered in skid mounted buildings.
The remaining five contracts comprise a mixture of municipal and industrial clients.
Two contracts in Quebec cover a system to produce 1,800 m3/d of drinking water for the town of Disraeli, and a custom-built water treatment system to supply drinking water for employees of La Romaine 3 hydroelectric power plant.
In Ontario, H2O Innovation secured a contract to supply a drinking water system for the municipality of Slate Falls First Nation.
In the US, there are deals for a water treatment system producing 954 m3/d of drinking water for the municipality of Sherburn, Minnesota, and a system to supply a mid-west university.
