Water technology company Desalitech has made two new senior hires to help steer it through the next stage of growth.

The emerging technology company has hired Dr Terry Mah, former chief executive of Veolia North America, and Ed Lieberman, formerly of fuel cell manufacturer Bloom Energy.

The two join the senior team at a time when the company has “experienced significant sales growth attributed to selling and installing dozens of systems to new and existing customers,” during 2016, it said.

“We are delighted to welcome Terry And Ed. The combination of water expertise, leadership and passion in our team is our most important strength as we aim to lead the world to a water future of greater efficiency and reliability,” said Desalitech chief executive Nadav Efraty.

Mah brings to Desalitech 20 years of experience in environmental technology and services. He held numerous leadership roles at Veolia, including business development, and profit and loss account ownership of various industrial and municipal segments, before becoming its North America chief executive. He holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Lieberman has two decades’ experience in leadership and executive business development roles at entrepreneurial organisations focused on renewables, energy, and disruptive infrastructure solutions, including eight years at Bloom Energy. Lieberman holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
