Cadagua consortium’s Oman job worth US$ 300 million

More details were released on 13 February 2013 by Ferrovia of Spain about the contract announced in November 2012 for a consortium involving its subsidiary Cadagua for the Al Ghubrah desalination plant in Oman.

Under the US$ 300 million contract, Cadagua, in partnership with Malakoff International Limited and Sumitomo Corporation, will design, construct, operate and maintain the 191,000 m³/d seawater reverse-osmosis desalination plant in the Al Ghubrah district of Muscat.

Cadagua leads the engineering and construction of the plant and is responsible for the operation and maintenance for a period of 20 years. The new facility will be operational in two years.
