The newly launched Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence has issued its first call for proposals.
The centre, which has a government brief to enhance the management and use of water recycling nationally and internationally through industry and research partnerships, is seeking expressions of interest (EoIs) in establishing a National Validation Framework for water recycling schemes. The framework will support the validation of individual treatment processes for use in water recycling schemes around Australia.
The project will be in two stages:
1. Project Roadmap
2. Establishment of National Validation Framework.
Upon review of the EoIs, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
The centre will host an information session for interested parties in Melbourne on 24 August 2010 to provide an overview of the centre and its Strategic Research Plan, and to respond to queries regarding this first call for proposals. The deadline for EoIs is 20 September 2010; proposals will be required by 1 November 2010.
Parties interested in attending the information session can register their interest by emailing Sarah Haydon; tel +61 7 3015 9708.
