California-based Energy Recovery Inc announced on 26 January 2011 the promotion of its former global sales director, Imad Al Sharif, to vice president of sales of OEM group, one of the fastest growing business groups at ERI.
In this role, Al Sharif will be responsible for expanding ERI’s partnerships with leading equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and scaling the company’s sales operations for continued growth.
“With the integration of pumps and turbochargers from ERI’s acquisition of Pump Engineering LLC in 2009, the OEM group is one of the fastest growing segments at ERI, making Imad’s leadership and extensive experience in global sales a critical component to ERI’s continued success with the OEM segment,” said GG Pique, president and CEO of Energy Recovery. “We are fortunate to be in a position to cultivate and utilize talents from within the company, as is the case with Imad’s past leadership and current appointment. We are certain that his experience as a global sales director will be a major asset as the OEM group develops and executes sales strategies in the future.”
Over the last five years at ERI, Sharif has driven the success of small to medium projects. Prior to ERI, Al Sharif held positions with leading water treatment suppliers such as Abunayyan Group for Dow Filmtec M and Ion Exchange Resin in the Gulf region, serving Iraq and Yemen.
