IDA announces lecturers for next Academy session

The International Desalination Association (IDA) has announced the line-up for the next one-day course in its Desalination Academy, which will take place on 5 December 2012 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, alongside the Saudi Water & Power Forum.

The IDA Desalination Academy is the association's premier global training institution focused on desalination and water reuse.

This intensive, one-day course includes the following sessions:

Membrane Technologies sessions conducted by master teachers of the Academy:

Forward Osmosis - Understanding and Control of Biofilm Formation
Professor Dr Harvey Winters, USA

Design and Operation of Reverse Osmosis Plants in the Gulf
Nikolay Voutchkov, president of Water Globe Consulting, USA

Thermal Processes sessions conducted by invited lecturers of the Academy:

Advances in Multistage Flash Process (MSF)
Dr Roberto Borsani, director of desalination, FISIA Italimpianti, Italy

Design and Operation of Multi-Effect Distillation Technology (MED)
Vincent Baujat, Managing Director of SIDEM, France
