Woongjin Chemical America Inc, which makes both spiral-wound and hollow-fibre desalination and water treatment membranes, has changed its name to TCK Membrane America Inc.
This follows the acquisition of Korean parent company Woongjin Chemical Co by Toray Advanced Materials Korea.
The reverse-osmosis, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes will still be marketed under the brand CSM.
Announcing the change, CEO Kenneth Yoon said, “In recent years, the brand has experienced significant growth within the membrane market, and the company will continue to strengthen and maximize CSM’s presence here in the Americas and around the world.”
