LiqTech International Inc of Denmark has received an additional purchase order for its silicon carbide (SiC) membranes from RIPE (Huzhou), a Chinese membrane system integrator.
The order is the third placed by RIPE in 2013: significant order sizes of 256 m², 256 m² and the latest 480 m² of membrane product. The membrane systems ordered were for the same end-user (one of the largest dairy producers in the world) to treat agriculture wastewater.
RIPE, a Chinese engineering firm located in Huzhou, has been developing SiC membrane solutions for oil & gas and industrial applications in China since 2011.
Guanghui Li, managing director of RIPE remarked, “Our company has been working closely with LiqTech to develop membrane solutions, and 2013 seems to be the year for the commercial breakthrough. RIPE offers a unique membrane solution for the end-user to treat challenging wastewater, due to our system design in combination with the robustness and high performance of LiqTech SiC membranes.”
“We are very happy with LiqTech’s efforts and expect to place more orders this year,” he added.
