Chinese water treatment company, Heilongjiang Interchina, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Danish water purification specialist Aquaporin and Chinese environmental engineering company Poten Environment Group to set up joint venture in China.
According to a Shanghai Stock Exchange announcement the joint venture is capitalized at US$10 million. Heilongjiang has invested US$2 million in the venture with US$ 3.5 from Aquasporin and US$ 4.5 million from Porin.
In the same announcement the companies said Poten and Heilongjiang were to acquire a 20% stake in Aquaporin valued at US$ 19.5 million comprising new shares and the acquisition of a current shareholder’s stake.
