Toray wins giant Magtaa desalination membrane contract
Toray Industries Inc of Japan announced on 29 September 2009 that it had won an order from Hyflux Ltd to supply reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for what will be the world’s largest membrane-based desalination plant, Magtaa in Algeria.

Stage 1 of the Sembcorp Changi NEWater Plant (SCNP) in Singapore has started commercial operations, according to a 26 August 2009 announcement from Black & Veatch, who provided full design engineering for the wastewater reuse plant along with construction support and commissioning services.

Biwater finishes first half of Changi performance tests
