March tender for Dubai’s 545,000 m³/d Hassyan desalination plant
Originally tendered in June 2008, the much-delayed 120 MIGD (545,000 m³/d) Hassyan desalination plant, with its associated 1,500 MW power station, is to be tendered in March 2011, the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority announced on 27 February 2011.

Total world desalination capacity close to 60 million m³/d
