New Dubai base for Black & Veatch

Engineering company Black & Veatch (B&V) announced on 11 January 2012 that it has moved its Middle East office to a new location in Dubai, UAE.

The new operation is part of the company’s growth plan for the region, which also includes an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It will enhance the company’s ability to provide local support to further the development of critical power, water and oil and gas infrastructure in the region. B&V’s existing contracts include the Salalah Independent Water & Power Project in Oman, which has 430 MW power generation and 15 MIGD (68,000 m³/d) reverse-osmosis desalination.

Len Rodman, B&V chairman, president and CEO, said, “Understanding that water and energy are inextricably linked is crucial for modern infrastructure planning. This is especially vital in arid areas such as the Middle East.”

Dubai-based professionals from Black & Veatch’s Energy, Water and Construction & Procurement divisions have relocated to the new operation in Dubai’s Internet City. It provides an operations base for planning and execution for both professional services and engineering, procurement and construction projects.

B&V’s new address is at Arenco Tower, Unit 106, Level 101, Dubai Internet City. Mail: PO Box 57183, Dubai, UAE. Tel: +971 4 429 6800.
