Suez Environnement has merged its Degrémont subsidiary into its international operating division under a major restructuring of the group’s operations outside of Europe that will create five new regional businesses.
The five business units in North America, Australia, Asia, Europe/Latin America, and Africa/Middle East/India will be supported by four international business lines: Water Innovation and Business Performance and Wastewater Innovation and Business Performance, both led by executive vice president Thierry Mallet; and, Design, Build, Operate/Design, Build, Operate, Transfer Solutions and Industrial Water Solutions, both led by Rémi Lantier.
The chief executive officers of each of the five new business units are: Bertrand Camus (North America), Eric Gemath (Australia), Steve Clark (Asia), Yann Rolland (Europe/Latin America), and Dom. Mangin d’Ouince (Africa/Middle East/India).
The company said the new structure will create a more customer-focused and entrepreneurial organization. It will, according to the company, enable an accelerated roll-out of its services across all groups so an offering developed in one country can be used in other countries.
Environnement said all of its activities were to be rebranded under a single corporate identity in the first quarter of the year.
