Reverse osmosis (RO) specialist, Desalitech, has tied up with Treatment Equipment Company (TEC) to provide sales support for municipal water treatment projects.
The agreement aims to draw on TEC’s presence in the water and wastewater sector to introduce Desalitech’s ReFlex RO products to markets in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.
ReFlex systems feature Desalitech’s patented RO process which, the company claims, maximizes water recovery and lowers energy consumption.
Desalitech has highlighted its private sector customer base which includes Coca Cola, Southern California Edison and Novelis, in offering municipalities substantial advantages in water reuse projects throughout North America. It says the performance of ReFlex systems “drives investment returns in less than 18 months” with “guaranteed” high recovery rates”.
Desalitech said its CCD process typically reduces RO waste by 50-75% and energy consumption by up to 35%. TEC president, Dennis Gleason, said: “Desalitech’s product line makes traditionally-designed reverse osmosis and nanofiltration systems obsolete.”
Desalitech chief executive officer, Nadav Efraty, said the link with TEC was “yet another promising new partnership that builds on a tremendously exciting winter of activity for Desalitech.” Desalitech has recently struck partnerships with the Pall Corporation and Novelis.
