The WateReuse Association will present a webcast on 5 March 2014 providing an insider update on cutting-edge federal legislative and policy issues of interest to the water reuse and desalination communities.
This will include legislation dealing with changes to and the policy implications of implementing the Federal Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and other significant current issues, such as the western drought emergencies and progress on creating innovative federal water infrastructure funding and financing programs.
The webcast will also include an update on the status and details of the Water Resources Development Act of 2013; provide the latest information on the FY 2014 omnibus appropriations bill passed by the US congress in January; and the status of the president’s FY 2015 Federal Budget request.
The session will also provide an overview of coming federal rulemaking and other regulatory issues related to water and important to the water reuse community.
The presenter will be Mark A Limbaugh, managing partner – business practices, The Ferguson Group, LLC, who represents the WateReuse Association in Washington, DC, and provides strategic policy and legislative guidance to clients on water, irrigation, energy and natural resource management issues.
