Singapore desalination pressure-vessel contract for ROPV

Pressure-vessel producer ROPV announced on 12 September 2011 that Hyflux had awarded the company a contract to supply pressure vessels to the Tuaspring Desalination Plant, Singapore’s second and largest seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant.

Hyflux’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tuaspring Pte Ltd, is developing the 318,500 m³/d capacity desalination plant on a design-build-own-operate model and will supply desalinated water over a 25-year period to PUB, Singapore’s national water agency.

ROPV will supply 4,860 pressure vessels to the plant, which is expected to commence operations by 2013.

This is ROPV’s second major project in Singapore, where it supplied 1,980 pressure vessels to Biwater for the Sembcorp Changi NEWater plant.
