Seprotech to acquire Canadian consulting group

Canadian membrane water treatment and reuse provider Seprotech Systems Incorporated has reached agreement to acquire 100% of WESA Group Inc, a professional services company with eight North American offices and one in El Salvador.

WESA, which focusses on environmental earth sciences, water resources, waste management, occupational health, safety and hygiene, and renewable energy, announced the agreement on 24 September 2012.

Seprotech is a provider of engineered water and wastewater treatment solutions, including reverse-osmosis water purification systems, RotorDisk® biological sewage treatment package plants and CrystalBlue™ membrane-based water recycling systems.

The combined entity is expected to be a leading provider of earth science and environmental engineering services, and wastewater and water treatment systems. The intent is to build an integrated product and service organization that provides intelligent solutions to complex environmental problems both in Canada and abroad.

The CEO of the new entity will be William M Touzel, who is presently president of WESA.
