North Port awards groundwater RO contract

Aerex Industries Inc, of Fort Pierce, Florida, the sub-contractor/supplier of the RO system, began testing one of the supply wells through a RO test skid on 22 November 2011.

The project, at the Myakkahatchee Creek Water Treatment Facility, includes the completion of a test well and the construction of five supply wells, the raw-water main, the relocation of a 12 in (300 mm) force main, the RO building sized for future expansion, the MCC and SCADA controls, a de-gas tower and a generator.

McKim & Creed is the engineer for the project, which will be completed by the end of 2012.
