Loeffler appointed CEO of Siemens Water Technologies

Dr Lukas Loeffler is to take over as CEO of Siemens Water Technologies on 1 October 2010. He replaces Chuck Gordon, who is leaving the company at his own request.

Loeffler has been head of the company’s Business Unit Infrastructure Logistics, based in Arlington, Texas, and part of the Mobility Division. Prior to that, for six years he was responsible for the global research and development activities of the Currency Automation and Services Division of Giesecke & Devrient GmbH.

“Lukas Loeffler has extensive technical experience and great integrative capability,” said Jens Wegmann, CEO of Siemens IS. “His expertise will help him to continue strengthening our position in the international water business.”
