Liberatore to lead GE Water’s process membrane business

GE Water has named mechanical engineer Frederick Liberatore global director process separations, which puts him in charge of GE’s process membrane business.

With more than 20 years of experience in the process membranes business, Liberatore will lead a global team to develop new applications and drive new business with OEMs. Prior to his new role, he was GE Water’s global technical marketing manager for food and beverage.

In 1985 Liberatore began as project engineer for reverse-osmosis and ultrafiltration equipment for Desalination Systems Inc. In 1997, Osmonics Inc purchased Desalination Systems, and Liberatore took on the position of food and dairy market manager. In 2002 he was promoted to business development manager, food and beverage for Osmonics, which was acquired by GE in 2003.
