Leading desalters to address AWA university meeting

In conjunction with the University of Adelaide, the Australian Water Association is presenting two lectures at the university in the evening of 27 July 2011 from leading desalination figures on Desalination: Future Directions for Australia’s World Class Facilities.

The presentations will be:

Energy and the environment by Nikolay Voutchkov, a recognised world leader in desalination technology. He has over 25 years of experience in planning, environmental review, permitting and implementation of large seawater desalination, water treatment and water reclamation projects globally.

National Centre of Excellence in Desalination R&D by David Furukawa, who has more than 40 years of desalination technology experience in both public and private sectors, including roles as past-president and director of the International Desalination Association and American Desalting Association (now AMTA); and life member of the American Water Works Association.
