KAUST hosts EMS desalination/reuse school

The European Membrane Society has announced a week-long Middle East school of membrane technology at the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.

Middle East School on Membrane Technology for Sustainable Desalination & Water Reuse will run from 28 April to 3 May 2012 and will be hosted by KAUST’s Water Desalination & Reuse Center.

More than a dozen speakers from KAUST and European institutes and universities have been lined up for presentations during the course.

Five female and five male Masters Saudi students from other universities, as well as three Masters students from European universities will have free registration. The students will be selected by taking in account their area of activity, previous performance at the university and letters indicating a potential interest in the PhD program at KAUST.

The deadline for free registration applications is 1 March 2012 and for normal registration 10 March 2012.
