Indian water technology provider Shivsu Canadian Clear International Ltd has won orders worth US$ 6 million from private organizations and governments in Africa to set up membrane-based industrial wastewater treatment plants in Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
The company will be involved in design, manufacture, supply and installation of the plants.
Capable of treating effluents conforming to NEMA Kenya’s National Environment Management Authority standards, the plants adapt the latest and proven membrane bioreactor technology with an advanced oxidation process and will be supplied to sugarcane, distillery, tannery, textiles and paint industries. Plant capacities will be 450-2,500 m³/d.
The plants can run continuously and require minimum maintenance for constant results with low energy consumption, says Shivsu. Commissioning of plants is on a turnkey basis requiring a minimum period of 10-11 months, from the day of order.
Operation and maintenance will be carried out by Shivsu.
