Florida-based Parkson Corporation announced the appointment on 24 April 2012 of Shamus M Hurley as its new president and CEO. Hurley, who served for the last five years as CEO of Kinetico – a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial water treatment systems – replaces Zain Mahmood.
Mahmood steps down as Parkson’s CEO after five years. Under his leadership, Parkson has expanded its advanced water and wastewater treatment operations into new regions of the world, such as Korea, Israel, Australia, and the Middle East. He was also responsible for renewing and relaunching a series of products such as Parkson’s best selling screen Aqua Guard®, its inclined plate settler Lamella® EcoFlow™, and its continuous backwashing filter DynaSand® EcoWash™.
Both Kinetico and Parkson are members of Axel Johnson Inc’s AxWater Group, which was formed in 2006 to bring clean, safe water to individuals and communities worldwide.
