Forward-osmosis specialist Hydration Technology Innovations LLC (HTI), was recently selected to serve on the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) of the Stanford University Engineering Research Center (ERC) for the USA’s Re-inventing the Nation’s Urban Water Infrastructure (ReNUWIt) program.
The ERC is a unique resource for its affiliate members, providing a collaborative environment whereby the educational and research expertise of all affiliate members can be leveraged to develop better understanding of urban water management to provide reliable and energy efficient water supplies.
Stanford University, the University of California-Berkley, Colorado School of Mines and New Mexico State University collectively make up the group of ERC Universities that are provided funding in support of education and research for ReNUWIt from the National Science Foundation. To facilitate the implementation of the ReNUWIt program, Stanford created the ERC Industrial Affiliates Program
The program has been established to create a culture of innovation and mechanisms for translating ideas from university research into professional practice. HTI’s guidance and active participation on the IAB, along with its expertise in water and forward-osmosis membrane technology, will help the ReNUWIt program to realize its mission
