The Aquasure consortium building the much delayed Victorian desalination plant for Melbourne, Australia, has released a video to celebrate the production of first water on 30 June 2012.
The Thiess/Degrémont consortium has installed a quarter of approximately 55,000 reverse-osmosis membranes for the plant and expects to produce the plant’s first potable water in late July 2012.
Completion is anticipated at the end of the year.
