The Federal Electricty & Water Authority in the United Arab Emirates has received tenders from seven companies for a 7 MIGD (31,800 m³/d) plant in Zawra, Ajman and the transfer of a 3 MIGD (13,600 m³/d) plant to Zawra from Fujeirah.
The tenders are currently being evaluated.
The seven bidders are: Aqua Engineering (Dubai); Cadagua (Spain); ACWA (Dubai); Aquatech (USA); Veolia Water (France); Arco General Contracting (Dubai); and Envicon Emirates (Dubai).
