Fluid flow energy efficiency firm Energy Recovery has won desalination orders totalling US$ 1 million for original manufacturer projects using its technology in India and Ghana. The company said the deals were among a continuing revenue stream from small-to-medium sized projects.
The projects will use Energy Recovery’s PX Pressure Exchanger technology and are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2015, the company said.
A mid-sized project in a desalination plant in Bhavanapadu, on India’s eastern coast will deploy PX Pressure Exchanger technology along with Energy Recovery’s Aquabold pumps.
For the project in Ghana, Veolia Environnement has bought Energy Recovery’s technology for installation at a desalination plant near the southern tip of the West African country. This plant too will use PX Pressure Exchangers and Aquabold pumps.
Chief Financial Officer of Energy Recovery, Joey Gay, said: “We are continuing to see steady revenue from small-to-medium sized OEM orders internationally.
