Degrémont completes AmeriWater acquisition

Suez group member Degrémont announced on 14 June 2011 completion of its acquisition of AmeriWater of Ohio, USA, which will be integrated into the French company’s equipment business line.

Operating since 1995, AmeriWater specialises in design, manufacturing and supply of high-purity water treatment systems for the healthcare market, with a broad range of systems specifically designed for all areas of hospitals and clinics. The company also offers a full line of solutions for industrial applications with a product line that includes cooling-tower filters, reverse-osmosis systems, deionizers, filters and softeners, as well as related services.

Diane Dolan, who will remain CEO of AmeriWater, said, “We are thrilled to join forces with Degrémont. The resulting synergies position our entire organization to strengthen our market share with an even broader assortment of products and services.”

AmeriWater Vice President, James Baker, will continue to provide technical expertise and will lead the product development strategy.
