Water and wastewater treatment company Severn Trent Services (STS) has promoted Rick Bacon to director of operations for its Water Purification division.
Bacon will have responsibility for the management of Severn Trent Services Ltd (UK) and Severn Trent Water Purification SpA (Italy). His new role includes responsibility for the delivery of projects throughout Europe and the development of the business in line with the company’s growth plan. This includes the promotion of proven TETRA® wastewater filtration systems as a preferred solution across Europe.
Bacon is currently the general manager of Severn Trent Services-Apliclor in Spain, a role that he will maintain. He was made general manager for STS in May 2009 to manage the integration of the company with Barcelona-based PS Apliclor SA.
☻ Severn Trent Services-Apliclor has recently designed, constructed and installed a Tetra LP Block dual-parallel underdrain filter for pretreatment of the Fouka SWRO desalination plant in Tipaza, Algeria. The 120,000 m³/d plant, being developed by Acciona Agua of Spain and SNC Lavalin International of Canada, will provide water to more than 500,000 people.
