08 Dec 09 by desalination
On 28 January 2010, the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) will be hosting a webinar entitled Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination Plant jointly with Water & Wastes Digest.
The Tampa Bay Water Desalination Facility was originally commissioned in 2003. Pretreatment inadequacies required significant remediation of the facility which was performed by a new contract operator, American Water Acciona Agua. The plant returned to full service in November 2007.
A summary of its permitting, construction and operating challenges will be provided. The webinar will be presented by Christine Owen.
Registration can be made via the AMTA website.
