Titanium supplier chosen for Ras Azzour desalination plant
Uniti LLC, a US-Russian industrial titanium venture jointly owned by Allegheny Technologies Inc and Verkhnaya Salda Metallurgical Production Association, announced on 16 December 2010 that it has been chosen to supply a significant portion of the commercially pure (CP) titanium to be used in the Ras Azzour desalination plant in Saudi Arabia.

EDS posts desalination courses for early 2011
The European Desalination Society has posted a half-year series of courses on its website for 2011 related to water desalination and membrane technology. All the courses will take place in Pegli, close to Genoa, Italy, at the Hotel Mediterranée.
