A new American headquarters and membrane manufacturing facility was opened on 5 April 2011 in Anaheim, California, by Woongjin Chemical America Inc, manufacturer of CSM reverse-osmosis and nanofiltration membranes for desalination and water treatment.
With this new facility, the company will be able to produce over one hundred 8-in elements per day, over two hundred 4-in elements and nearly 2,000 elements for residential applications. The new state-of-the-art facility will be headquarters to not only the US but to surrounding regions including Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and South America,
Welcome speeches were made by the general manager of CSM Woongjin Chemical America, Kenneth Yoon, and the head of RO/NF Membrane Division in South Korea (Woongjin Chemical Co Ltd), senior managing drector Dr Im Hee Seok. Congratulatory remarks were also given by the Mayor of Anaheim, Tom Tait, and by the vice consul general of the Republic of Korea, Choe Yong-Jin, from the Korean consulate located in Los Angeles.
