Three tenders for the Hassyan 1 (formerly Hassyan-P2) power and desalination complex have had their deadlines extended.
The complex is being built for the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, UAE.
The engineering consultancy services and site management tender, CN/0263/2009, formerly due on 15 September 2009, is now due on 13 October 2009.
The deadline for the 1500 MW power plant and 100-120 MIGD (455,000-545,000 m³/d) multi-stage flash desalination plant itself, CN/606/2007, which has been postponed several times, is now fixed at 8 November 2009, coinciding with the opening of the International Desalination Association’s world congress in Dubai.
Tenders for the seawater intake and outfall system, CN/0114/2008, now have to be in by 25 October 2009.
