Parkson moves Middle East work back to USA

Parkson Corp of the USA announced on 15 June 2012 that it is consolidating the operations of its Middle East group into its international division. Parkson says this is to optimize the delivery of its water and wastewater treatment technologies to the rest of its customer base in other parts of the world.

Since opening in 2007, Parkson’s office in Dubai has enjoyed considerable success, especially in delivering environmentally-conscious package systems to industrial customers. More recently, Parkson has seen soaring demand in the Middle East for MaximOS™ disinfection systems and the newly redesigned DynaSand® EcoWash™ filtration system.

One major achievement of the Dubai office was to collaborate on the design and construction of a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. The success of the membrane bioreactor facility illustrates Parkson’s depth of knowledge on treatment processes and systems integration.

Under the consolidation, Parkson’s international group in Fort Lauderdale will take over the duties of the Dubai office. The consolidated unit will be led by Michael Lamminen.

“In the past few years, we have made very big strides to update and improve the products we are offering, especially to Middle East customers,” said Lamminen. “Now we want to focus on bringing Parkson’s efficient and cost-effective technologies to other key markets we serve.”
