EDS calls for 2014 Cyprus conference papers

The European Desalination Society has issued a call for papers and opened exhibition booking for its conference on Desalination for the Environment, Clean Water & Energy to be held in Limassol, Cyprus, on 11-15 May 2014.

The conference will overview the most recent developments in desalination technology, its cost and extent of application, including socio-economic and environmental issues. It will bring together research scientists, decision makers, managers, design engineers and operators from water companies, industries, government departments, consulting firms, research institutes and universities.

The place of industry, research and government decision-making in this booming market will be addressed. Why and how desalination should be integrated into the national or regional water management plans, ensuring socioeconomic and environmental benefits, will be the focal point of the conference.

Visits will be available to the Limassol and Dhekelia desalination plants and the Kourion archaeological site.

The deadline for abstracts is 31 October 2013. Abstracts should be submitted online.

A brochure in pdf format can also be downloaded.
