Papermaker ups water performance with Desalitech reverse osmosis
Arizona-based papermaker, Doubletree Paper Mills, said it has increased its purified water recovery by 20% at its Gila Bend plant since replacing its reverse osmosis water treatment system in 2014 with Desalitech’s ReFlex RO system. The modification has also cut wastewater output by almost two thirds and lopped 25 % off energy consumption said Doubletree.

Abengoa wins contract for Morocco desalination plant
Morocco’s National Power and Drinking Water Office (ONEE) has contracted Spanish desalination company, Abengoa, to construct a 100,000 m³/d plant, some 45 km from the city of Agadir.

Desalitech lands US$ 11 million in venture capital funding
US desalination firm Desalitech has landed US$ 11 million in venture capital from existing investor, Liberation Capital, along with AquAgro Fund. The money will help Desalitech expand sales of its water purification products, the company said.
